• Having been informed that my old theme’s “lack of updates in 2 years” was behind my blog’s font issues, I changed to a more current, updated theme (Easel). I was trying to understand it and bring a lot my “old look” into the new theme.

    I was trying to insert the following into the body:

    <center>
    <a href="https://www.xboxgamercard.org/gamertag/Spacedog2k5"><img src="https://www.xboxgamercard.org/gamercard-generator/xbl2_image.php?gamertag=Spacedog2k5" /></a></center>

    And, after I realized I messed up the original code, I put it back, but it now has a blank screen, will not let me into fix it. ??

    Can someone please help me to get back into my blog?

    Do you have access to the files and folders of your website?

    No. I mean, I probably could, but I don’t know how to access them. ??

    I am not a CSS guy. Just someone with a solid imagination who writes. I feel frustrated right now.

    A solution could be;
    To remove the corrupter easel folder in the wp-content/themes/ directory and re-download & upload the Easel theme again.

    Do you have the FTP credentials to your web server?

    When you say “insert” into the body – where, exactly, were you doing that? In the editor? A php file?

    You will very likely need to have FTP or another file manager access to your site to fix this. Where is your site hosted?

    Andrew: if you mean going here – https://nerdykibbles.net/wp-admin/ – all I get is the same blank screen if I go to the blog itself. I don’t have the FTP credentials. The hosting of my blog was a gift from my brother 2 years ago.

    WPyogi: I believe it was through GoDaddy. Again, it was a gift from my brother 2 years plus ago.

    Oh drat, they have been having major problems – this may or may not be related. You need to get FTP access set up or use their file manager – whatever that is. Not much you can do until you have that kind of access so that you can get to the files on your site from the server (not through the dashboard).
