echo GeoMashup::location_info( on a index loop

what a great plug in! ??
but i have a problem. on my single.php this piece of code:
<?php echo GeoMashup::location_info( 'fields=locality_name&format=%s, ' ); ?>is working great.
but when i put in inside a loop i have on my index.php, doesn’t work at all. is this normal? here is any way to get the city name from a post on a loop? sorry, i’m quite new on code.
