• I’m trying to import products from distributor which has .xml feed of their products and all info about them.

The problem is, that as I know WooCommerce is more friendly with .csv files. I also know that WooCommerce has dummy_data.xml file, which imported through WordPress Importer can import few products for testing plugin. And the last problem is that distributors .xml product structure is different from dummy_data.xml.

The question is, how I can modify plugin that it could accept mine structure? Where should I look, what should I search for? And it would be superb if WooCommerce automaticly could update that distributors .xml file from .xml feed url I have.

Any leads how I could achieve something like this? Thank you very much in advance. ??

  • Hi KazikJ93 did you find a solution for this?

I’m now looking at an epos system that works with xml files for all the stock.
I think we may be looking for the same thing.

Hi all, has anyone solved this problem yet?

I have been trying to get products from an xml feed to woocommerce. So far less than perfect results but this is what I did –

    1. Converted xml file to csv here https://www.luxonsoftware.com/Converter/XmlToCsv

    2. Downloaded this plugin – https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/woocommerce-csvimport/

The products are there, but the data is a bit of a mess…

I struggled with this for a very long time … But i recently found WP All Import .. It has an add on for Woocommerce and it’s flawless ! It’s a little bit pricey but it really does do what it says .. I’ve used it without the add-on for numerous csv & xml affiliate feeds and it has never failed on any format ! It allows you to map the fields from the feed to the fields within WordPress or Woocommerce using a Drag & Drop interface .. really simple. The standard version doesn’t work with variable products, which is why i recently purchased the Woocom Add On .. which makes life very simple.
Just so you know, i have nothing to do with the developers and this is truly the first time i have ever “plugged” a plugin. But i searched for something like this for nearly 2 years. There is a limited free version, so i suggest you give it a try .. Good luck !
