Last time I had my dashboard open I noticed there some updates available, I ran them all but the one for Online Backup failed. I remembered that Online Backup needs me to change some permissions so I blew it off and figured I’d work on it later. Next time I tried to look at my WP dashboard it wouldn’t load, I just get a white page with the below text. is there anything I can do to fix this or else apply the “online backup” that I have downloaded?

Interestingly I’ve just discovered that I can access the site through the WordPress Android app.

    Hi,

It is very strange I think the upgrade stuff in WordPress failed and some of the files are now missing.

You should go here and download the plugin again to your computer:
    https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/wponlinebackup/

Extract the ZIP file and you should get a folder called “wponlinebackup” and inside it files like “wponlinebackup.php” and “readme.txt”

What you need to do is login to your site via FTP and upload this “wponlinebackup” folder into “wp-content/plugins/” and overwrite the existing “wponlinebackup” folder and files.
Make sure to do the permissions things you needed to do again aftwards.

    Dashboard should start working then.

Awesome, that worked perfectly. Thanks for the easy solution Jason.
