Theme Twenty Twelve.

  • How do you activate the sidebars on Theme Twenty Twelve? Can be on right or left? Does it also have a footer with widget capability like Twenty Ten?

  • you can’t ;-(

    – the (main) sidebar is hidden by default if there are no widgets in the widget area.

    – there are also no footer widgets in Twenty Twelve.

    OK. I was doing a live preview and I did not see the side bar even though my current theme 2010 has a sidebar.

    Try adding some widgets to it as explained above.

    Hello, I’m having trouble getting my twentytwelve sidebar to activate. I’ve added widgets but at the bottom of my widgets page under the heading:

    Inactive Sidebar (not used),I get the message:

    “This sidebar is no longer available and does not show anywhere on your site. Remove each of the widgets below to fully remove this inactive sidebar.”

    How do I make it available? tx
