Lightbox for photos and SEO?

  • Hello.

    I hope anybody who knows a bit about SEO can answer my question.
    If I use this lightbox plugin for photos will it be negative for my SEO?

    To a normal post that is already optimized with and a lot of photos I want to add a few additional photo thumbnails towards the end of the post using Lightbox.

    Would this interfere in any way with SEO?

  • I can’t say for sure, but I wouldn’t think it would effect SEO. It’s not technically changing anything about the image, its simply changing the method in which it opens the image via the link. All of the titles, captions, etc on the images are still there on the image of that page.
