    Error establishing a database connection
This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at XXXXX.byetcluster.com. This could mean your host’s database server is down.

Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
Are you sure that the database server is running?
If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.

I have successfully installed version 3.4 or so quite time ago.. all settings are identical except DB NAME.

    Thanks!

  • That means that there’s something wrong with the connection details. The main thing that I see is that the hostname can change sometimes, even if it’s the same host, so I’d suggest that you double-check your connection details with your hosts to be sure. If they are right then ask them why it won’t connect.

    true, hosting’s fault.
