• Thanks for a wonderful plugin, Gallery carousel without Jetpack!

    In WP version 3.5.1 I noticed the following issue: On right hand side there appears a scrollbar which is in part covered by the div ‘jp-carousel-slide’ as well as the ‘jp-carousel-next-button’.
    The scrollbar itself is unscrollable: the next image appears, as if a larger layer were still on top.

    Depending on screen resolution, there may be two scrollbars visible: the one described above and one further right which is scrollable (but without any effect).

    A correct view is on https://jetpack.me/2012/07/13/jetpack-1-5-with-carousel/#jp-carousel-814
    But I am unable to get the same, I always have this strange effect, as if there were a z-index-issue.

    Thanks for any advise.

  • Got the same bug in several browsers and on different computers. I’m using the carousel with Jetpack…

    In the recent version, the Jetpack team claims to have fixed some IE8 bugs. This plugin is a direct replica of the other one. I tend to keep it as is to make sure that future updates are easy breezy. I mainly created this fork to eliminate the WordPress.com connection of my site.

    I see the same extra non-scrollable, right-hand scrollbar under Mac OS X 10.6.8 with Chrome 25.0.1364.155 and Firefox 19.0, the latest versions at this time. In Chrome the scrollbar is fully visible, but in Firefox it’s partially covered in the middle with the right-arrow click zone.

    Great idea to fork this, though!

    The issue appears to be still unresolved; what a shame;
    I am not 100% certain but I think it only came up after WP3.5.1

    The issue is indeed persistent with Firefox.

    I actually have Jetpack installed for a client and there was no issue like this with Carousel. However, every time an image is clicked, the darn thing would bring the whole page back to top and I couldn’t figure out why. It was extremely annoying for very long pages. So I disabled the bundled one and installed this and somehow, it fixed the problem! But yeah, this issue is there but I rather have this than the other. So thanks!

    (I know it beats the purpose of this plugin so you can stone me to death for actually using this with Jetpack. :P)
