Feature request: links on images in galleries

  • When creating a gallery and editing each image, it would be good if the “link to” drop-down had an option called “url”. This would allow a gallery to be used as navigation within a site, very handy! It would look super nice as well. Particularly useful for instance on portfolio type sites, if there’s a main project page with a gallery in it, it would be brilliant if each image could link to another page in the site, thus acting as a visual navigation page linking to other galleries.

    Thanks for the suggestion! I can see how useful this could be for portfolios, indeed!

    WordPres galleries do not allow such option so far, and only allow links to attachment pages or to the image itself, but that’s a good idea!
