custom events admin page

Hi,

I am trying to create a custom admin page in which to display a customized attendees list. I am following the steps from this tutorial:

I declared the $EM_Event variable as global but when I var_dump($EM_Event) the result is NULL and I don’t know what causes this.
Can you help me please with this issue?
