Permalink Structure

    How can I make the permalink structure on my posts include .html some of the time and nothing the rest of the time?

    I’m importing a site from dreamweaver that also has wordpress on /blog.

    The dreamweaver html site has html extensions and the wordpress blog doesn’t.

    I THINK I’d prefer to create everything as posts. BUT, the problem is that the make posts html plugin won’t work.

    I was looking at custom post types and taxonomies as a way to manage this but it literally made my brain hurt (seriously!).

    Any suggestions?
