So the blog website I’m running it set up to have posts featuring sponsors. They want these posts to stay in the 2nd slot of the blog so the most current post would be at the top while the sponsored post would be just under that.

I’ve brought up just setting it to sticky but they don’t want to confuse people with that. I haven’t been able to find any way to do this myself so I’m wondering if anyone else has had to do this and either found a plugin or a way to manipulate posts so that you can control what position the post is placed, whether it has to be sticky or not so long as I can place it somewhere else or is this something that’s just impossible to do with the way WordPress is set up to run?

    plugin – post types order
then once installed if you go to post section of your WP Admin menu you will see “re-order”. This is a graphical way to re-oder your post, then save.

I tried that with Q2W3 and, after fiddling with it for a while, asked on their own support forum about doing just this and was told, by the author, that it’s impossible as the sorted posts comes before unsorted (as the post given the 2nd position would take the 1st position anyways) so if that’s a different type of plugin other than Q2W3 Post Order it’s not likely to work.
