Paid Status doesn't retain a manual "Yes"

Hi

Just wondering if the PAID Status field in the RSVP events is for payment gateways only. Some of our clients pay via check/phone cc, so we want to mark them PAID in the event registration, but the “Yes” dropdown in the Paid Status field does not want to retain that value. (I am using the latest version 1.0.13 of the plugin)

Is this expected behavior?
