#_EVENTNOTES; Browser problem

Thanks for a great plugin, this is just what i need to get this project moving again.
One slight problem though; I get unwanted whitespace(linebreaks?) before the #_EVENTNOTES placeholder in IE and FF, Chrome displays correctly. is this a known issue?
