Allow contributors to add media files

    As a complete novice to WordPress I am amazed i was able to get my site up and running and resolve most issues. However I want to allow registered members to upload media files (pictures and sketches). I have changed the role of the participant to author and changed the Gallery setting to Author as well but they still cannot do an upload of any file. Suggestions are welcome. I am using TwentyEleven child theme at https://www.sidewalkastronomy.ca
