Timing out on large galleries

Amazing concept, well done!
When running through a large unoptimised gallery (1000 images+), the script never makes it to the end without timing out.
Is it possible to modify the plugin load each request individually via ajax (or in batches)?
I think with this feature we have another killer plugin on our hands
