Fields not populated in notification email

We receive a notification email but the fields we defined and inserted in the notification email show as is, i.e.
* {940.Firstname} {942.Lastname}.
* {971.Téléphone}
* {972.Pays}
* {947.Typed#39;organisation}
* {948.Typed#39;informationdemandé}only email field is properly populated.
Most of the fields are required and are indeed submitted (I see them in the entries).
Please advise.
