Two Home Pages

    I have two home pages, but I only want one. This question has been asked many times on other forums but I have not been able to solve it.
    Right now I am using a static page where the front page is my “home” page, and the posts page is my “news” page.
    Today I tried to hide one of the ‘home’ pages by setting it to private, but when I do that, there is a page error when my website is searched, and it will not work. Currently, the second home page is being used as a subpage under the parent page of “Contact” just so you don’t see two home pages when you click on the website. I do not want it there at all though, and I’m not sure how to delete it.
    I figure I’ll have to go into the editor and find a way to remove one of the home pages but I don’t know the code to do that.
    I’ll also mention that when viewing “All Pages”, there is only one home page, and I cannot delete it without the site no longer working.

    Sorry to have jumped to conclusions! I think I have solved the problem by downloading the plug-in “exclude pages”.
    it seems to be working okay now.
