Running the loop through columns and rows

    Maybe someone with more knowledge of the loop/php can help me with this. I want to have a loop on one of my pages that pulls an extract of the posts into a table like this:

    12
    34
    56
    etc..

    So post one in the top left, post two in the top right, then post three moves down a row, and etc..

    Got any ideas?
