Comments Don’t Take…

    I have never been much interested in the comments feature of our blog, and hence have overlooked an apparent problem with it.

    Recently i attempted to post such a comment, and found that comments simply don’t take. the https://www.mystite.com/wp-comments-post.php page comes up, and then just stalls with a clear page.

    I tested out a different theme to see if it was a theme driven problem, and it aparently is not… So far as i can tell, i have comments turned on via wp admin. (I don’t this problem with two other wp blogs i run…)

    Any help in fixing this is appreciated.

    this follow up was a mistake… how do i delete this???

    Your comment.php include tag in your theme might be placed outside “The Loop”, this will cause a clear wp-comments-post.php.

    i don’t think this is the problem — i’ve tried different themes, and it happens just the same. (In other words, unless all of the themes i’ve downloaded have the same problem, it must be something else…) But i’m no pro — am i missing something??

    Any other thoughts?? (are appreciated!)

    My problem is resolved — I didn’t see this thread from before, which suggests a few things, including checking to see if a plugin is the cause. In my case it was –“span assasin” — no longer needed anyway with Askimet.

    The thread that helped me has a few other suggestions, too.

    (FYI — I used the WP support search not realizing that the way to search support is now via the main search engines, as noted in the perma-sticky topic on searching at the top of the forums. Using google i found this is a well worn topic when i previously found nothing ?? ooops!)
