Error when uploading pictures

    I get this error when I try to upload a picture from the write new page screen.

    “Unable to create directory /home/de95/public_html/wp-content/uploads/2006/03. Is its parent directory writable by the server?”

    It is not a rhetoric question…

    Is its parent directory writable by the server?
    meaning is the wp-content folder writable? (chmod=666)

    Thanks Moshu for responding. I just changed the permissions on the folderr to 666 and tried to up load a picture again and got this message

    “Warning: is_dir(): Stat failed for /home/de95/public_html/wp-content/uploads/2006 (errno=13 – Permission denied) in /home/de95/public_html/wp-includes/functions-post.php on line 869

    I just went to look at the site
    https://www.movies-and-stuff.com/
    and nothing shows?

    Try 777 and alternatively ask your host about that “errno=13”.
    Or, google for it…

    I did change it to 777 nothing happened. When I did the upload it created the folder “uploads” I had to set the permissions on this folder to 777 and now it works, thank you very much.
