very large cache

    The cache generated by w3 seems unusually large. I have a news site which is almost 7 month old, with 200+ posts. Total cache size was over 100 Mb.

    I tried to empty the cache via options in the plugin but nothing happened. I deleted the cache manually (ftp) but w3 immediately started building it again, EVEN for very old posts, which were certainly not viewed at the moment.

    I deactivated the plugin now, as it seems unreasonable to dedicate +100 MB of cache for a site of little above 300 MB.

    Am i doing something wrong? and wasn’t W3 supposed to erase or empty cache after a while?

    Ha! my cache was at 1.2 GB before I decided to clear it. The plugin author told me that the garbage collector of the plugin isn’t working right, and should be improved in the next version. Hope that helps.
