You can deactivate or delete the plugin using FTP:

hi there, thanks heaps but what does it mean by “upload a new copy from a fresh WordPress download”? Where can i get a fresh wp download?

n if i deactivate my theme, will it screw my web design? it wasn’t done by me and the web designer is missing. so i’m totally lost! I don’t even know how to do FTP!

really appreciate if you could guide me along. Thanks for the trouble

Deactivating the plugin won’t hurt your theme/site permanently, but you’ll have to fix the problem with the plugin.

Start with that one – before deactivating your theme – which also shouldn’t permanently hurt your site.

You can download WP to your computer — and install manually via FTP.

You need to get FTP info from your hosting company and set up an FTP client on your computer. If your host uses another file manager, you can probably use that.

That’s good – phew :)! You can look at other plugins here:

    https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/search.php?page=2&q=ecommerce&sort=

Looking at the number of downloads, how recently updated, reviews and the support forum for the plugin gives you some information as to the quality of it (not perfect and no guarantees, but a good starting point).
