Chip, I have no idea what you mean.

I am creating a website for the first time, using a theme installed from www.ads-software.com have never been on the wordpress.com site. How did it happen that I am being “hosted” on wordpress.com? Eventually GoDaddy will host the site after we get the bugs ironed out. Is this why?

I may have misread your URL. Carry on as you were; I’ll go have more coffee…

    Hi cluelessmeg,

What you’re looking at is on your blog home page the automatic excerpt that is defined by WordPress. The automatic excerpt takes only the first 55 words of your post and strips away any html code or fornatting. There is no option in the theme to exchange the excerpt witht the content.

What you can do is, to write your own excerpt when creating or editing the post. There is a excerpt box for that. If you don’t see it, click on option on the top right corner and tick “excerpt”.

Writing your own excerpt will keep at last your html code and formatting on the blog home page.
