Error establishing a database connection

This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at mysql.netagra.com. This could mean your host’s database server is down.

Appreciate the effort here but how do I get back in? Unlikely the database server is down. Thanks!

You will be using your ftp client, or the file manager in your hosts control panel to open and view the wp-config.php file located on your web space. You will then need to confirm that the name of the database, the username for your database, and the password for your database user – as well as the address for the database – are all exact and correct. That includes the presence of the single quotation marks (it’s easy to accidentally delete one, once in a while) in each of those entries, as shown in the example I linked to above, under the heading; Configure Database Settings

Thanks, Clayton. I can access the site via ftp. I downloaded wp-config.php and took a look. The password in the file seems different from other access passwords. But I probably don’t have the needed skills to really fix this properly.

Contact your hosts support group and ask them to help you confirm your database and WordPress database user information. They should be able to walk you through the steps to help you understand what credentials you’re actually looking for.

Then, once you’re sure you have the correct information, simply follow the directions in the document I pointed you to. Configure Database Settings

Or your host might be able to assist you with that.
