Copying from a spreadsheet

Very often, I’ll do a quick calculation on an Excel (or even Quattro) spreadsheet, and I’d like to embed the resulting table (nicely formatted) into a posting on WordPress. Obviously, copying/pasting won’t do it.

I’ve tried saving it as html, then bringing the resulting code into WP. But it looks pretty much unlike it did in the spreadsheet.

I’ve taken that process an extra step further; I have tried copy/pasting into Front Page 2003, then copying the resulting code into WP. Looks okay at first, then when I save it, it invariably shows only the first row of the table.

Am I missing something, or is this just not feasible? It doesn’t sound like it should be that hard.
