    Hi astreetweb

The captcha has been tested repeatedly and it should work.

Make sure all other characters including possible spaces are deleted. You do this by selecting the entire cell with your mouse. Then type in the captcha.

If your site is live send me the URL and I’ll send you a test.

The one I submitted was fine. But on reload the captcha is showing some very weird things, for example more than 6 characters and some of the characters are numbers. It should only show 6 letters.

Have you changed any code in the captcha file?

No, it always showed numbers and letters for me. I uninstalled and reinstalled just in case

Try running it with the captcha disabled for now.

What other plugins are you running?

Where did you download testimonial-basics from, www.ads-software.com or my plugin page?

    All in One SEO
    Woo Commerce
    Fast Secure Contact Form
    Roster Slider
    TinyMCE Advanced
    Widget Logic
WooCommerce – All in One SEO Pack
    Woocommerce CSV Import
    WooCommerce FedEx Shipping

    OK

Well I double checked the www.ads-software.com download and everything looks fine in the captcha file.

At this point in troubleshooting I recommend you deactivate all your plugins except Testimonial Basics and then test Testimonial Basics. Then re-activate your plugins one at a time testing the captcha each time. You should only get 6 letters in the captcha on each reload.

It is also possible that it is a theme problem. The only way to test that would be to switch to one of the default themes twentyeleven for example. Test testimonial basics with that theme. I am a little confused with your page source as it shows you loading style sheets from different theme directories.

Or you can run the plugin with the captcha disabled. Not the end of the world but you will get the occasional testimonial spam.

I tried switching themes (twenty-twelve) and turning off all plugins but I still get numbers and letters in captcha. It’s still a good plugin. Thanks!

    Sorry I couldn’t help you.
I will review the captcha in the next update.

    Hi astreetweb

I’ve set up a testbed and I don’t see any conflicts with All in One SEO, Fast Secure Contact Form, TinyMCE Advanced, or Widget Logic. I did not download the other ones, as they are more involved.

In the update I am working on I have changed some variable names in the captcha code to see if that makes a difference. It will be out in a week or so, try it if you want. Other than that, it’s very difficult to trouble shoot these kind of problems without being able to duplicate your problem.

The captcha works fine in all my test beds and websites, and I believe I’ve only had a few other questions about it.

If you can spare the time I do have a few other questions. Where are you hosting your site and do you know what version of php you are using?
