Version 1.6 still broke

  • 2013/2/24 Mobile site was working with one minor problem – no posts showed up on front page.
    2013/2/25 WordPress Dashboard flagged an update to the plugin so I installed it. Broke the site:
    1. Had to re-enter all settings as if from scratch.
    2. My site no longer showed any menus and logo was gone.
    3. Attempting to load a logo via upload button opened an upload box off screen in the WP dashboard. Only part of the box was visible and only then by scrolling down quite a ways. I only discovered it by accident. The box was located off to the left of the screen. – Couldn’t figure out how to get the logo uploaded again.
    4. Bug report link broken.

    2013/2/26 Again WP dashboard flagged an update to WP Mobile Edition. Installed v 1.6.
    1. This time all settings were preserved.
    2. Bug report link now works.
    3. No change in the logo upload button behavior.
    4. Mobile site still useless: no menus, no posts on front page.

    Can I get an older version that works until you fix things?

    IMPORTANT After upgrade, disable and enable the plugin to update the files of mobile theme (mTheme). Clear Your Browser’s Cache.

    Well, even if it works on other sites, mine was working (with the exception I mentioned before) but broke after the last update of Mobile Edition. Nothing’s changed. I’ve now uninstalled it completely and will attempt to re-install from scratch to see if it works.

    I re-installed at it almost worked – briefly.

    First of all if I click on the Upload button for the logo, it continues to open an upload box located down and to the left so that only part of the box is visible when I scroll down.

    Second. After first installing, a quick check of my mobile URL showed latest posts with thumbnails. I then selected Custom Navigation Menus and got nothing ( I guess I’m supposed to put code in the index.php file) but when I attempted to go back to Your Latest Posts, it won’t go back to that.

    I’m going to uninstall and re-install once again to see if I can get something useful to work.

    OK, I installed it again and left the default setting of Latest Posts.

    If I type m.thehiddenmanna.org I get a front page that does not show any posts until I use the menu to select index.

    If I type m.thehiddenmanna.org/index, I get something that I would think should be the front page of my site, that is a list of latest posts.

    So how do I get the site to come up with the latest posts showing at first?

    Hi, anyone successfully installed this plugin?
