Work with Codepress Admin Columns

  • Great plugin!

    I’m curious it could work a bit better with Codepress Admin Columns? I have a bunch of non-default columns set up, but they don’t show in the live search preview of post listings. It returns post results, but neglects the custom columns.

    Also when you hit return, the old (awful) default wp results show up. I think it would be more intuitive for users if it just replaced with the better results.

    I’ve noticed issues with a couple of plugins that add custom columns, but haven’t been able to add support due to the way they were built. It looks like support with Codepress’ plugin might be possible, though. I pushed an update to GitHub if you’d like to give it a try (just click the “Zip” button to download).

    Regarding the other suggestion, I felt the instant search was a compromise that allows access to the default search results if desired without adding UI clutter to provide an option for choosing the search results. Sometimes searching the content can be useful.

    Thanks. Sorry I didn’t get back earlier. I just got a chance to try out the new update and it seems to work great!
