Hi (sorry for flurry of posts!),

I’m having issues with IE compatability on my site, and one of the issues raised is that this “<!–This for WP Event Manager –>” is above the doctype causing IE to go into quirks mode.

How do I stop Event Manager doing this? Doesn’t seem to be important to have that comment there. This is also happening on pages that don’t contain any Event Manager stuff.

    Cheers

    hi,

I tried to check my events page and don’t have this issue; do you have a sample link? or have you tried Events > Settings > General > Performance Optimization

Here’s one of the pages https://rockhoppers.org.uk.gridhosted.co.uk/newsletter/.

I’ve tried limiting the loading of CSS file on this page, but it still shows the “<!–This for WP Event Manager –>”

    Hi,

I see it now, could it be that you used/modify any EM templates or you are using single-event.php which adds “<!–This for WP Event Manager –>” above get_header()?

we don’t output any text like that, so I’m pretty sure it’s something you added somewhere whilst trying to make a mod to EM

yeh you’re right – I’d added some code to a mod for EM. thanks for the help!
