    Hi Cliff,

A client of ours is currently using Salesforce for Google Adwords on their existing site… We’re in the process of launching a new WordPress site and have run into an issue.

Salesforce.com will no longer be supporting Google Adwords after May 1st… SF provided a list of alternatives and Pardot seems the most promising… And now, finally to the question.

Does the Pardot WordPress plugin work with the Google AdWords Connector, so that it passes to Salesforce.com the source of the referral (Google, Bing, Yahoo, direct, etc) upon form submission?

Thanks for any insight you can provide.

    Thanks for the question!

Pardot’s AdWords integration is a function of our tracking code, which the plugin properly sets up for you after authentication. So, yes, any function of our AdWords connector (or any other web tracking functionality) will be taken care of.

Let me know if you have any other questions at all.

I’m suffering from a lack of sleep at the moment and just want to clarify…

Upon submitting the form, the user’s referral will show up as the “Lead Source” in the “Lead Detail” on salesforce.com… Essentially, the info in the yellow-highlighted areas in this image:

Thanks for the clarification, I really appreciate it.

    No problem at all!

The answer is yes, but it might take just a bit of configuration to get it just right for your client—our implementation team could easily get you set up (free of charge). The plugin itself takes care of the tracking code, which is all you need to start collecting that data.

    Does that help?

    Very helpful… Thank you.

I’ll pass it along to the client.
