SAVE button does not work in Yop Polls

Same problem as user papadon above:

Upon editing a poll, the “save poll” button does not work. The button doesn’t do anything.

WP version 3.4.2
YOP Polls version 3.7

Multisite: installed on network; activated on individual site not at network

Same problem if network activated under multisite install.

I don’t know. I can’t find anything in the Options or other configuration pages that indicate or imply multisite.

I downloaded and installed the plugin to a single site, powered by wp.

I was able to get the “save poll” button to work by disabling a plugin on my site named “Restore jQuery”. The purpose of the noted plugin with its link is described below. Hopefully, there is a jQuery compatibility fix for YOP Polls because I have a need for safeguarding against conflicting jQuery implementations.

Thus the problem specified in this support/trouble ticket is unrelated to multisite installs. It appears to be a jQuery issue as noted above.

User papadon may be able to isolate the issue by determining if there is a plugin conflict by disabling other plugins.

Plugin Description:
Some plugins and themes replace the default jQuery library that comes bundled with WordPress with another version, typically from the Google AJAX CDN. This is generally bad practice, since many other plugins and themes rely on and expect that the WordPress-bundled jQuery version is being loaded.

Also, typically the alternative jQuery library being loaded is not executed in the jQuery noConflict mode, which tend to cause conflicts with other JavaScript frameworks, like Prototype and MooTools.

This plugin simply restores the version of jQuery being loaded to the one that comes bundled with WordPress. It only does this if jQuery is already in the WordPress scripts queue, and won’t do anything otherwise.

Thanks! The new release of YOP Poll version 3.8 corrected my Restore jQuery problem.

I have no outstanding issues.

I am looking forward to reading feedback from papadon to see if he is experiencing a plugin problem. Perhaps this fix corrected his problem as well.

I guess I didn’t have a jQuery problem. I’ve deactived my plugins, one a time, and have found that the conficting plugin is wpeventplanner (https://www.wpeventsplanner.com/). When the event planner is deactivated, the SAVE button works correctly, otherwise, it does nothing.

This may not be a problem with your poll plugin and I appreciate your efforts to fix it.

Since event management is my more pressing need, I will work with what I have.

We’v ran a few tests with wpeventplanner and found out the issue.
It is a problem on their end but we managed to make YOP Poll work with it.

Please uninstal YOP Poll and do a fresh install.
