I installed WordPress in a subfolder of my site, called /booklog. It’s been so easy to use that I’m considering using it in the main part of my site as well. I don’t want the same categories or design or anything. Is it possible for me to put WordPress in both the main folder and the subfolder and have them both use the same database? (My host offers only one database.)
I did upload everything into my main folder, but then the index.php page looked just like my /booklog page!

Okay, I see now that the Multiple Weblogs thread in the Requests section addresses this issue. There’s not an answer there…but that’s what I was asking about.

Yes, it’s possible to do that. When you go through the installation, set your “Table Prefix” to something different than the one you already have.
    Example:
    Table Prefix for booklog: wp_
    Table Prefix for main: wp_main_
    -Spacemonkey
