Add images to home page

you may have to create a new page template and then once you’ve created it and got it displaying what you want (and created the page of course!) in the settings menu under reading you can select that page to be your static front page.

That would make sense, so how would I create a new page template.

Alternativly you can use a static page as your home page and set up a simple HTML table within the static page, including all the nice boxes you need.

Done it by creating a new template, it was easy enough
