I’m using the post by email feature and it works fine.
However I don’t like the carousel feature and I have disabled it.
I’m using WP Lightbox2 plugin and in order to link a gallery I have to use this code
    [ gallery link=”file” ]

Is there a way to do this with post via email?
If yes how can I add the shortcode into the email when i’m attaching the images?

    Any suggestions will be appreciated!

    Hi there,

I tested the plugin, and although I was able to get the shortcode to work and display the gallery, there was no way of telling Jetpack not to display its gallery as well, so I effectively ended up with 2 galleries per post. You can tell Jetpack NOT to display a gallery by using the [nogallery] shortocde, but then you end up with with one gallery (the one created by the Lightbox plugin when you use [gallery link="file"]) and one list of inline images.

    Thank you Richard.

May I kindly suggest then this to be added as a feature for people who don’t want to use the jetpack gallery (carousel).
It would be great if we could use this [ gallery link=”file” ] as a shortcode into an email and automatically have the gallery using the lightbox plugin.

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll pass it along to the developers. Thanks again!
