• I just got an update notice from WordPress theme repository for a theme I made myself. I did not create it from an existing theme, I made it from scratch. But I apparently named it the same as an existing theme. Does this mean that WordPress only uses the theme name (slug) to establish a themes identity?

  • That would make sense to me since that is what is used while calling a theme’s template from within a Child Theme, I believe.

Yeah good point. It doesn’t seem very smart because there’s gotta be a lot of conflicts and more to come as the repository expands. But for now I guess I’ll just have to get more creative with my theme names. ??

Turn ’em around like I did with my Joseph Lee O.! ??
