I have been moving an html site to wordpress. I created all the posts without content and put them into their respective categories to get a handle on the theme.

After editing all of them and adding in the content of the posts, the categories are no longer displaying properly through the <?php wp_list_cats(); ?> command.

I have done nothing to this tag in my theme, and upon checking other themes, the problem persists. I created new categories, they don’t show either. My only catagory listed is ‘uncatagorized’.

Its installed locally on OSX 10.4

I’m not really sure what you mean by this. It sounds like there is actual content in the posts, by which I mean a post is more than just a title and a blank page. However, I can tell you that empty categories, categories without any posts assigned to them, will not appear in the list_cats list.

I just looked at your blog, though, and I’m seeing a list of three cats under the categories page, so I’m not sure if you hand-coded those or what.

The blog i’m refering to is not my personal blog, its for some friends. Yeah, i’m aware that empty categories will not appear. Some categories were empty, and other had content. None were showing. I even tried playing with the variables of wp_list_cats to no avail.
