    Hi guys,

I am bulilding a site ofline on my computer and I also have the copy of the same site running online.

My workflow is: I add pages and posts, create a custom menu on the offline site first. If it looks and works OK, then I upload the new content to the online site to show it to my client.
That means I am adding the same extra content to both sites frequently.

My problem is: lets say I add 10 more pages and build a custom menu to show them (on the offline site). I like the result so I want to import the extra content to the onine site as well.
I make an export (from offline site) and import it to the online site.
It works fine as only the new pages are added.
Also the new custom menu is imported, but somehow the older custom menu items are duplicated – and I have to delete them manually (menually-haha).

Do you know any solution to avoid this issue?
Or do I have to use another export/import process to avoid duplications in my custom menus?

Thenks for your help in advance.

  • I just discovered that this was happening too. Exactly as described.

In addition to fixing this, it would be even better if Menus could be made something that you could specifically specify to export/import, as yo can with other item/post-types as an alternative to the default “All Content” option.

Seems like that would be a pretty easy thing to do… I’ve been looking for an export/import menus-only plugin but haven’t found one yet……
