Network Setup – Folder Creation & Permission issue
-
I have the BackWPup version 3.06. And have set up a WP Network site using wordpress version 3.5.1.
I’m using WP Backup as Super Admin. I created a job, set all the settings. Now when I click “Run now” I get the following errors and the job does not start.
Temp folder *** does not exist and cannot be created. Please create it and set proper write permissions. Logs folder *** does not exist and cannot be created. Please create it and set proper write permissions. Backups folder *** does not exist and cannot be created. Please create it and set proper write permissions.
The permissions of my ‘uploads’ folder is set to 755. I know if I set the permissions to 775 or 777, this error would go away. But I really do not want to open these directories like this for the public to write to.
Please also note that I already have around 60+MB of content inside the uploads directory which was uploaded through wordpress while creating posts and pages. My network sites are running all good for the past few months.
Can anyone please assist how to get through this problem without changing file permissions manually…
