Thanks for that. I have a feeling it might have to do with some plugins i have installed?….

Ill try deleting all my plugins first then following those guides

I’m not quite sure if you’re completely understanding or not, it’s important that you are, apologies if I’m not telling you anything new.

It is true that hackers have often gained access to a site through a security flaw of a plugin. But once hackers have gained access, your entire site becomes suspect. A backdoor can be installed anywhere to allow continued access. Do read the ottopress backdoor article in Jan’s resources. And not only is your entire site suspect, but your entire server space. Removing insecure plugins is an insufficient response once hackers have gained access.
