Would like to test, but does not activate. Instead I get:

  • I’m having the exact same issue.
Still investigating this problem, will post an update if I find a sollution.

OK, I was able to activate the plugin, but I had to trick the system in order to make it work. Not sure, but I think this is due to some badly written code.

You have installed the plugin in:
    /domain_root/your_subdir/wp-content/plugins/theatrecms-lite/

The plugin tries to access some of it’s files in:
    /domain_root/wp-content/plugins/theatre-cms/

So not only is it ignoring the sub-dir you have installed your wordpress in, it is also querying a directory with a totally different filename. I assume this is due to updates to the plugin.

For testing purposes you could create the following folder structure in your domain root:

    /domain_root/wp-content/plugins/theatre-cms/

In the theatre-cms directory, you can upload the ‘inc’ directory from you installation folder. After you’ve uploaded this directory, try to activate the plugin again. The plugin should be able to include all files necesarry for activation.

    TO THE PLUGIN AUTHOR:
Though this work-around works, I would like to see a fix for this issue, because I’m planning on moving my installation to my domain root after a testing period and i’m not able to query or write out of the domain root.

Thanks in advance for the update or feedback.

Hi, all. I will investigate. Apologies for the late response. I was under the impression this would email me when someone posts.

Hi Scott, this looks like an intriguing plugin, and one I wanted to try before I bought the full version for a client. I’m sorry to say though that even following lootsr’s directions, I’m unable to get the plugin to activate. Looking forward to the next version!

Just pushed version 1.2.2 which should correct problems of activating the plugin if you’re running WordPress in a subdirectory. If you continue to have problems activating after updating, please provide detailed error messages here.

I’m running a brand new site, no active plugins, TwentyTwelve theme. Trying to activate version 1.2.2 I receive the following fatal error:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/content/..../wp-content/plugins/theatrecms-lite/theatre-cms-lite.php on line 475

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/content/..../wp-content/plugins/theatrecms-lite/theatre-cms-lite.php:475) in /home/content/..../wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 876

    Any ideas?

The errors here don’t look like fatal errors, just warnings. Does the plugin activate?

I do have to fix these and will try to push out a release ASAP. I know you can get rid of the first warning by adding a venue, Settings > TheatreCMS > My Organization, Venues near the bottom of the screen.

Just pushed version 1.2.3 which should take care of the venue array issue. Please let me know if this fixes things.

Success! Thank you so much for your help!
