User avatar dont show

    Hello,
    The plugin was working just fine for me until suddenly it stopped showing the uploaded WP User Avatar images and replaced them with the default avatar image.
    I tried deactivating other plugins to check but it still doesnt show!
    I can still see the images in the user profile, the code ( get_wp_user_avatar…) seems ok too!!

    Any help will be appreciated.

  • I don’t know why it would work and then not work, if you changed nothing. Could you let me know what theme you’re using, and if I can view the problem on your site?

    Hello,
    I am using Serigraphic Responsive Theme from https://www.dessign.net/
    I just changed my theme to one of the wordpress default themes and the avatar shows ok.
    Just to add, I am able to use the short code in my post and the avatar show fine.

    Hi, I guess I’m not understanding your problem. The [avatar] shortcode works fine and get_wp_user_avatar works fine? Are you not seeing the right avatar because the theme uses get_avatar or some other method? I’m not familiar with that theme and because it’s a premium theme, I can’t easily look at the code. I’m guessing there’s a conflict with how get_avatar is being called in the theme. If that’s the case, you could change the theme code to use get_wp_user_avatar or create a child theme with the changes.

    when I changed get_avatar to get_wp_user_avatar nothing happened – stock generic avatar was still used

    Got it resolved. It had to do something with the surrounding code. Thanks.

    uhhh….. can you expand on that? maybe it might help me.
