    Re: March 24, 2013 – SharDB Observations

    Hello everyone,

I continue to run SharDB on several different beta installations without incident. I have installed both Shardb and its cousin for a WP development company M####db plugin. I must confess that Shardb is much better documented and it works. On the other hand, I had many problems setting up the other multi database plugin. Support here shines while I felt support with the other multi database plugin lacked tremendously. I hate to name names, but if you are looking for a Multi or Sharing database plugin I’ve got to say that SharDB has all the others beat hands-down. It is easy to setup, has good documentation from(https://wpebooks.com), has many advance features (which I’ve yet to try) and Ron its author, is truely a knowledgeable guy when it comes to resolving your questions. No, I didn’t get paid to write this, I’m just happy to have installed such a complicated plugin like this that works so damn good.

    Regards,

    Loui

Thanks ?? I appreciate the feedback.

    Hello Ron,
I am using your plugin on a multisite install but i need to know what is the method in which the plugin creates the multiple databases teaking into account the tables from he different blogs, if it is by blog ID and then creates the different databases with a certain amount of tables belonging to several blogs, or it is an internal mechanism, as if where the method used by winrar to compress a file in many files with a certain size.
Thanks a lot and i will be glad with your answer.
