Did you try deactivating and reactivating WP SlimStat? Also, you can take a look at the FAQs and create a ‘slimstat administrator’ to see what went wrong…

PS: a review/vote for my plugin would be a nice way to say thank you!

I did that, I tried giving all of WP SlimStat 777. I also tried creating a slimstat administrator, “slimstatadmin” and I still got the same error message. I even tried reinstalling WordPress (clean database) and still got the error. I can view the stats fine, but I can’t access the settings.

Did you reinstall WordPress or WP SlimStat? Also, are you using a ‘separate’ menu or the one that appears in the admin bar?

    Camu

Hello, I have the same problem. I reinstalled WP SlimStat but still the same problem. I have also another problem, i do not have anymore WP SlimStat Dashboard Widgets, it is now disappeared.

I have checked the installation and some files and/or directories appear to be missing. The setting link is trying to access wp-admin/options-general.php?page=wp-slimstat/admin/options/index.php but that options directory does not exist.

See the content with the 2.9.5 version of the admin directory:

    css/
    geoip.csv
    images/
    js/
    lang/
    options/
    swf/
    view/
    wp-slimstat-admin.php
    wp-slimstat-custom-report-demo.php.txt

and this is the content with the new version:

    config/
    css/
    geoip.csv
    images/
    lang/
    view/
    wp-slimstat-admin.php

As you can see no options now.

By the way, i haven’t been using the pluging for very long but it seems to be a great plugin. Thank you very much. I’ll give a review when i had used it for a longer time.

You will probably forget and never vote for WpSlimStat, but that’s okay, I will survive. As for your question, please see the changelog where it says that the Dashboard Widgets plugin is now available as a separate plugin, due to all the complaints from people who were uninstalling it and then removing the main plugin, since they were shipped together in the same folder.

    Peace
    Camu

You already have my vote, this way i can’t forget.

Now I have also installed the Dashboard Widgets plugin, thank you.

I have noticed I don’t have the desktop menu, should it be there?

    Thank you again.

There is no setting link in the admin bar and there is no problem there. I am having trouble accessing settings via Plugins>Slimstat>Settings. I tried this on a brand new clean install of both WordPress and Slimstat locally via XAMPP and I am still having this problem.

O.o If I voted for the plugin now while it isn’t working.. there would be fewer stars then it deserved. I literally used this for 2 days and then the update broke the plugin.

    I have that problem too:

I am having trouble accessing settings via Plugins>Slimstat>Settings.

as I posted before but I also detected the other one.

Oh i see, good catch. It’s a bug. You can access the settings under Settings > SlimStat for now. Thank you for pointing that out!
