#_EVENTSEXCERPT shows full description instead of first 55 words

    When i use the events_list short code and call in the #_EVENTSEXCERPT it displays the full description unless an excerpt is specifically set for the event. I would expect this to function like a typical wordpress excerpt and only show the first 55 words if the post has no specific excerpt set.

    Is there anyway to accomplish this same type of functionality for the short code?
