Suggestion: Integrate with Jetpack

Hmm, that kind of forces people to use Jetpack if they need a lightbox.

Instead, what we’ve done here is, added a basic lightbox. Since, this is js and theme territory, we’ve also added a switch to toggle it, so someone with skills enough can build a lightbox in their theme, itself.

We’ll continue to improve upon our lightbox, as well without binding anyone to it.

I agree that it is not a good idea to make people use JP – I would vote for having an alternative to any built-in lightbox by using the JP lightbox (optionally).
