woocommerce permalinks

  • Hi all. I posted this in plugins and hacks also… and realized that I should have posted this question here. Sorry for double posting.

    I would need some help with woocommerce permalinks.
    In woocommerce permalinks what ever my setting is, it seems that the title of the product comes as a %post_name% in the end, even though I didn’t put in %post_name% in the end.
    Now this might be a good thing if you have a sight written in alphabet, though I have a Japanese sight and Japanese sucks for links and other things. I would like to end it with for ex %post_id% but when I make the settings /products-page/%post_id% the permalink doesn’t end with the post id but ends with the title name. And if I try to manually change it, while doing product it isn’t possible.

    Is there any way to change this?

  • WooCommerce currently does not support these custom URL structures, unfortunately. To be honest, I do not have a direct solution for you in this case. If you are familiair with code and contributing to plugins, you are welcome to collaborate on the code with us via the repository on GitHub.

    Thanks for the answer Coen. I would love to be more familiar with code than I am and would love to contribute. For the time being I’m not able to do that. I have been thinking about translating woocommerce into Japanese, I’am presently using a bilingual version where the front end is translated to Japanese.
