I’m running enhanced Simple PHP Gallery… I followed this tutorial for WP intergration as well as the one at Quirm, but they don’t satisfy me. I want the gallery to show up on a WP page…

But every time I try (I use ezStatic) to include it on a page, I get the error:

    Unable to read sp_descriptions.ini file.

Help, please? (And yea, I’ve searched and found nothing!)

  • I actually tried Simple Enhanced PHP Gallery myself a few months back before switching to Photopost. I found the process of integrating SEG into WordPress to be pretty arduous and inevitably gave up in the end. It’s quite a poorly supported program as well.

I suppose that’s true. But I don’t want a gallery script that has all the bells and whistles because I just want something simple. I’ve tried many, many scripts, but most of the have the ugliest interfaces or ones that are too complicated.

I just want a clean, simple gallery script. eSPG seems to be that, except intergration is a bitch!

I just want it to reflect my changing themes. The best way I know how to do that is to include it on a page, but… error abounds.

    Things I’ve tried:

    – deleting the header and footer and using a php include in the page content.
    – creating a gallery template with a php include
    – creating a gallery template with the eSPG index page code
    – creating a page with the eSPG index-page code

All of them have produced the same error:
    Unable to read sp_descriptions.ini file

I, at least, want to know why it’s doing this.
