• I use GoDaddy for my hosting company. After speaking to several people over the course of a week, I’ve realized they are unable to help. Basically here’s my probelm that I hope someone can help with:

My wordpress was out of date because of an older version of MySQL. This has all been updated (in GoDaddy’s control panel it show that I’m operating the newest version of wordpress and my SQL is 5.3), But when I try to log in to my dashboard this is the message I get:
“You cannot update because WordPress 3.5.1 requires MySQL version 5.0 or higher. You are running version 4.1.24.”

It’s like wordpress is not seeing the changes. Yesterday I did a manual re-install of wordpress (latested version). When I look at my website I see the wordpress toolbar at the top (like I am logged in & it is the newer version look), but when I try to get in the dashboard or edit/add a page, I get the message
“You cannot update because WordPress 3.5.1 requires MySQL version 5.0 or higher. You are running version 4.1.24. “

    Any suggestions please?

    Thanks in advance!
