Show "new page" in calender as event like "new posts"

Hi!

I googled around but I didnt find anything. Hopefully anyone can help me here.
I use pages to insert a photo gallery with a plugin, now I would like to have an option to display the new pages in the calender like a new post.
Sometimes I just upload new pictures, now I have to create the page for the gallery and to create a post that says “hey guys, new gallery” and link the page in the post in order to have somehow an event in my calendar for the newly added gallery. Thats not so nice.
